Last updated: October 2026
An influencer marketing platform costs between $0 and more than US$14,700 a year in Australia in 2026. Free tools charge a fee on each hire or payout. Self-serve platforms such as Referwo start at US$69 a month (about A$99), while enterprise platforms run on quotes and 12-month contracts.
That spread is why budgeting for performance influencer marketing software feels harder than it should. Most pricing pages quote US dollars, bury the fees on sales and leave GST for you to work out.
We checked the pricing pages of 11 platforms on 9 October 2026. Every figure below comes from the vendor’s own page, in the currency the vendor publishes. Approximate AUD figures use the Reserve Bank of Australia rate of US$0.6956 to A$1 (RBA, 8 October 2026).
This page covers software subscriptions only. It does not cover what creators charge or what agencies bill, and we link to both where they matter.
Quick Answer
Influencer marketing platforms in Australia fall into four price bands. Free tools such as Shopify Collabs, Collabstr Free and GRIN Free cost nothing upfront but charge fees on hires, payouts or usage. Self-serve platforms cost under US$100 a month, including Referwo from US$69 with no commission on sales. Mid-market tools such as Modash, Collabstr Pro and GRIN Growth run US$200 to US$600 a month. Enterprise plans start near US$1,000 a month or are quote-only on annual contracts.
Key facts in brief:
Influencer marketing platforms cost from $0 to over US$14,700 a year. Free tools charge a fee on each hire or payout. Self-serve platforms like Referwo start at US$69 a month with no commission on sales. Mid-market tools sit around US$200 to US$600 a month, and enterprise platforms are quote-only on annual contracts.
How does influencer marketing platform pricing work in 2026?
Influencer marketing platforms charge in one of four ways: free with a fee per hire or payout, a flat monthly subscription, a subscription plus a percentage of sales, or an annual enterprise contract. The model matters more than the headline price, because percentage fees grow every time your creators sell more.

The four pricing models
- Free with a transaction fee: no subscription, but the vendor earns on each hire or payout. Collabstr Free adds a 10% hiring fee to every order.
- Flat monthly subscription: one fixed price, whatever your creators sell. Referwo and Modash work this way.
- Subscription plus a percentage of sales: a monthly fee plus a cut of tracked revenue. UpPromote charges 1% to 2% of approved referral sales.
- Annual enterprise contract: a quoted fee, usually with a 12-month minimum. Upfluence states a 12-month minimum on its pricing page.
What usually costs extra
- Hiring, payout or tracking fees on each transaction.
- Creator fees, commissions and gifted product.
- Onboarding or custom setup packages.
- Add-ons such as creator discovery, which starts at US$39 a month on UpPromote.
- Extra seats or usage credits.
Platform subscription vs creator costs:
A platform subscription pays for software: discovery, briefs, tracking and payouts. It never includes what you pay creators. Those costs are separate, and our guide to what influencers charge in Australia covers them by tier.
Agency retainers are a third, separate cost. If you are weighing software against a managed service, read our breakdown of influencer marketing agency pricing and our platform vs agency comparison.

Two numbers in that table deserve a second look. Modash’s US$199 entry price assumes annual billing; month to month it is US$299. Commission Factory’s AU$349 sits inside a 12-month initial term. Neither is hidden, but both change your real commitment.

What do free and low-cost platforms (under US$100 a month) include?
Free and sub-US$100 platforms cover the basics: recruiting creators, issuing codes and tracking sales. The trade-off is usually one of three things: a fee on every sale or hire, a smaller or closed creator pool, or less automation. Pick the trade-off you can live with, not the lowest sticker price.
Shopify Collabs
Shopify Collabs is free to install and built into Shopify. It may charge a 2.9% commission processing fee on automatic payments, and it is not available on Shopify’s Starter or Retail plans.
Shopify’s help centre also notes that Collabs is not accepting new creator sign-ups at the moment. That makes it best for brands with creators already in hand. Our Shopify Collabs vs Referwo comparison covers the detail.
Collabstr Free
Collabstr’s free plan lets you search its marketplace and hire creators with no subscription. A 10% hiring fee is added to every order, and creators pay a separate 15% on their payout. That suits one-off content buys more than an ongoing programme.
UpPromote
UpPromote is a Shopify affiliate app. The free plan covers one affiliate programme and up to $3,000 in referral review each month. Paid plans run from US$29.99 (about A$43) to US$199.99 a month, plus 1% to 2% of approved referral sales.
Referwo Basic and Standard
Referwo Basic costs US$69 a month (about A$99) and covers three active campaigns, 50 creator applications and 15 approvals a month. Standard costs US$99 (about A$142) and lifts that to nine campaigns, 500 applications and 50 approvals.
Standard also adds an Instagram and TikTok brand feature and Flash Promotion. Referwo takes no commission on influencer-driven sales, and both plans include a 14-day free trial.
What you trade off at this price
- Creator pool: open global marketplaces are large, while local pools are smaller but Australian.
- Automation: gifting, payouts and briefs may still need manual work on free tools.
- Attribution: discount codes and links track sales well but miss some social discovery.
When I ran an ecommerce business, the fee that hurt was rarely the one on the invoice. It was the percentage that grew quietly as a channel started working.
What do mid-market platforms (US$200 to US$1,000 a month) offer?
Mid-market platforms cost US$200 to US$1,000 a month and add depth: larger discovery databases, more seats, payment tools and dedicated support. Modash, Collabstr Pro and Premium, GRIN, Referwo Premium and Commission Factory sit here. You pay for scale or service, so check you will use it.
Modash
Modash Essentials costs US$199 a month billed annually, or US$299 month to month (about A$286 to A$430). Performance costs US$499 annually or US$599 monthly. Both include a 14-day trial with no card required.
Performance adds creator payments and affiliate management. The first US$10,000 a year in payouts is fee-free, and a 5% fee applies above that.
Collabstr Pro and Premium
Collabstr Pro costs US$249 a month billed annually (about A$358), with one campaign a month and a 10% hiring fee. Premium costs US$333 (about A$479), allows unlimited campaigns and cuts the hiring fee to 5%.
GRIN
GRIN now publishes its prices. Starter costs US$200 a month (about A$288), Growth US$500 (about A$719) and Scale US$1,000 (about A$1,438), all month to month.
Each plan includes a monthly bundle of usage credits for GRIN’s AI assistant, and creating affiliate commission payables also uses credits. New accounts get a 30-day Starter trial. Our Referwo vs GRIN comparison goes deeper.
Referwo Premium (managed)
Referwo Premium costs US$399 a month (about A$574) and is run by Referwo’s team. It includes a personal account manager, unlimited campaigns, influencer management and monthly reporting.
Premium has no free trial; brands book a demo instead. It is the option for brands that want campaigns run for them without an agency retainer.
Commission Factory Core and Grow
Commission Factory is an Australian affiliate network, billed in Australian dollars. Core costs AU$349 a month plus a 2.00% tracking fee, and Grow costs AU$999 plus 1.75%.
Both plans have a 12-month initial term and renew automatically. You also get access to a large affiliate network, which suits brands that want publishers and coupon sites, not just creators.
Which platforms are quote-only, and what drives the quote?
Upfluence, Aspire, Fabulate and CrowdSwell publish no price list, and Modash, Collabstr and Commission Factory quote their top tiers. Quotes are driven by seats, creator volume, modules, markets and service level. Expect annual terms: Modash Enterprise starts at US$14,700 a year.
- Upfluence: modular pricing across discovery, programme management and payment modules, sold as a fixed platform fee with no percentage of sales. It states a 12-month minimum.
- Aspire: sales-led pricing with no public price list. Its pricing page did not load when we checked on 9 October 2026.
- Fabulate: an Australian platform that also offers managed services. Brands request a call for pricing.
- CrowdSwell: run by The Looksee Group. Self-serve subscriptions are tiered by usage and have no lock-in, managed programs are quoted per program, and a Test Drive pilot is available.
Why these vendors don’t publish prices
Enterprise tools sell modules, seats and service hours in different combinations, so one public price rarely fits. Still, treat a missing price as a signal. Budget for an annual commitment until a quote says otherwise.
What to ask for before you sign
- Ask for the monthly and annual price side by side.
- Ask how many seats are included and what each extra seat costs.
- Ask whether onboarding or setup is charged separately.
- Ask for every fee on payouts, sales or credits in writing.
- Ask for a paid pilot or shorter first term before a 12-month contract.
- Ask whether vetting and disclosure tools support the AiMCO Influencer Marketing Code of Practice.
When an enterprise tool is the better buy
An enterprise platform can be the cheaper choice per result. That is true when you run more than 250 creators, manage several brands or markets, or need global payouts and tax forms handled.
It also fits a team of in-house marketers who each need a seat. Modash positions its Enterprise plan for campaigns above 250 creators. Our Referwo vs Upfluence comparison shows where each fits.
What hidden costs change the real price of influencer software?
The real price of influencer software is the subscription plus every fee that scales with use. Percentage fees, minimum terms, payment processing, currency movements and the product you send creators can each outweigh the monthly fee. Model all of them before you sign anything.

- Percentage fees: 1% to 2% of referral sales on UpPromote, a 1.75% to 2.00% tracking fee on Commission Factory, and 5% to 10% hiring fees on Collabstr.
- Minimum terms: Commission Factory and Upfluence both state 12-month minimums.
- Payment processing: up to 2.9% on Shopify Collabs automatic payments, and 5% on Modash payouts above the fee-free limit.
- Currency: most tools bill in US dollars, so your AUD cost moves with the exchange rate.
- Creator costs: commissions, fees and gifted product are never part of any subscription.
GST on software billed from overseas
Most of these platforms bill from overseas. The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) says a GST-registered Australian business importing digital services shouldn’t be charged GST (ATO), provided it gives the supplier its ABN.
Businesses that are not registered for GST pay it on those purchases. Check the billing details on each account and confirm the treatment with your accountant.
Contracts and automatic renewal
Read renewal and cancellation terms closely. Unfair contract terms protections now cover small businesses with fewer than 100 employees or turnover under $10 million (NSW Small Business Commissioner, 2023).
Those protections apply to standard form contracts made or renewed from 9 November 2023. They are not a reason to sign loosely, so get professional advice if a term looks one-sided.
Worked example: 12-month cost for a A$30,000-a-month Shopify brand
Take an Australian Shopify brand turning over A$30,000 a month. Assume creators drive A$3,000 a month in tracked sales, or A$36,000 a year. This is an illustrative example, not a forecast.
| Pricing model | Platform used | 12-month subscription | Fees on A$36,000 of creator sales | 12-month software cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Flat monthly fee | Referwo Standard, billed monthly | US$1,188 (about A$1,708) | A$0 | About A$1,708 |
| Subscription plus % of sales | Commission Factory Core | A$4,188 | A$720 (2.00%) | A$4,908 |
| Enterprise contract | Modash Enterprise, starting price | US$14,700 (about A$21,133) | Depends on payout volume | From about A$21,133 |
Illustrative example, not a forecast. Excludes creator commissions, gifted product, GST and onboarding. AUD at US$0.6956 to A$1 (RBA, 8 October 2026).
The flat fee stays flat as creator sales grow. On Commission Factory Core, the tracking fee alone rises to A$2,160 a year if creator sales reach A$9,000 a month. Annual billing on Referwo Standard brings the year down to about A$1,366.
Which price tier fits your brand stage?
Match software spend to monthly revenue, not ambition. Under A$20,000 a month, keep software cheap and avoid long contracts. Between A$20,000 and A$100,000, a flat fee usually wins once creator sales pass a few thousand dollars a month. Above A$100,000, enterprise tools start to earn their price.
Under A$20,000 a month in revenue
Start with a free tool or Referwo Basic, and avoid any 12-month term. Gifted campaigns with tracked codes keep cash outlay to product cost. Our comparison of affiliate, gifted and paid influencer campaigns helps you choose a starting mix.
A$20,000 to A$100,000 a month
This is where the pricing model starts to matter. Referwo Basic costs about A$99 a month flat, and UpPromote Growth costs about A$43 plus 2% of approved referral sales.
The flat fee becomes cheaper once approved referral sales pass about A$2,800 a month. Referwo Standard or a mid-market tool fits most brands at this stage.
Above A$100,000 a month
Choose Referwo Premium if you want the work done for you. Choose Modash Performance, GRIN Growth or an enterprise quote if you have in-house staff, several markets or more than 250 creators.

Compare plans
Referwo plans start at US$69 a month with no commission on influencer-driven sales and no lock-in contract. See Referwo pricing to compare Basic, Standard and Premium.
What do Referwo brands get for the cost?
Referwo brands pay a flat subscription and keep 100% of influencer-driven revenue. Across three published case studies, Australian ecommerce brands activated 119 to 174 creators and recorded 5.2x to 8x return on ad spend (ROAS). These are past results; outcomes depend on product, audience and execution.
- Cherub Baby: 119 creators, about $30,000 in estimated sales, 8x ROAS and 450% ROI (Referwo data).
- Thread the Word: 174 creators, about $50,000 in estimated sales, 6x ROAS and 283% ROI (Referwo data).
- Hannah & Henry: 119 creators, nearly $44,000 in sales, 5.2x ROAS and 265% ROI (Referwo data).
Each brand tracked sales through unique creator discount codes. To judge your own numbers, see what is a good ROAS for influencer marketing, or our 2026 influencer marketing statistics for Australia.
Frequently asked questions
How much does an influencer marketing platform cost in Australia?
Influencer marketing platforms cost from $0 to more than US$14,700 a year in 2026. Free tools charge fees on hires or payouts, self-serve platforms cost under US$100 a month, mid-market tools cost US$200 to US$600, and enterprise platforms are quote-only. Prices checked 9 October 2026.
Are there free influencer marketing platforms?
Yes. Shopify Collabs is free to install, and Collabstr, UpPromote and GRIN all have free plans. Free plans earn through other fees: a 10% hiring fee on Collabstr, up to 2.9% payout processing on Shopify Collabs, and limited usage credits on GRIN.
Do influencer platforms take a percentage of sales?
Some do. UpPromote charges 1% to 2% of approved referral sales on paid plans, and Commission Factory charges a 1.75% to 2.00% tracking fee. Referwo, Modash and Upfluence charge a subscription with no percentage of sales.
What is the cheapest influencer marketing platform for small brands?
Free tools are cheapest upfront, but fees grow with use. For a flat cost, Referwo Basic starts at US$69 a month (about A$99) with no commission on sales. It becomes cheaper than UpPromote Growth once approved referral sales pass about A$2,800 a month.
Why do Upfluence and Aspire not publish their prices?
Upfluence and Aspire price by modules, seats, volume and service level, so they quote each brand. Upfluence states a 12-month minimum. GRIN, which used to be quote-only, now publishes plans from US$200 a month.
Is an influencer platform cheaper than an influencer agency?
Usually, yes. Platform subscriptions run from free to a few hundred US dollars a month, while agencies charge retainers and management fees. Our influencer marketing agency pricing guide covers retainer ranges in detail.
Do I pay GST on influencer software billed in USD?
The ATO says a GST-registered Australian business that gives its ABN to an overseas supplier of digital services shouldn’t be charged GST. Businesses that are not registered for GST pay it. Confirm your treatment with your accountant.
Does the platform subscription include paying the creators?
No. A subscription covers the software only. Creator fees, commissions and gifted product are separate costs, and some platforms add a fee when you pay creators through them.
Do influencer platforms offer free trials?
Many do. Referwo offers 14 days on Basic and Standard, Modash 14 days with no card, UpPromote 14 days on paid plans and GRIN a 30-day Starter trial. Upfluence sets up a trial after an initial call.
Are there lock-in contracts on influencer marketing software?
Some platforms have them. Commission Factory has a 12-month initial term that renews automatically, and Upfluence states a 12-month minimum. Referwo, Modash, GRIN and Collabstr’s self-serve plans can be cancelled without a long contract.
How much does Referwo cost?
Referwo costs US$69 a month for Basic, US$99 for Standard and US$399 for the managed Premium plan. Basic and Standard include a 14-day free trial, annual billing saves 20%, and Referwo takes no commission on influencer-driven sales.
What should a $30k-a-month Shopify brand budget for influencer software?
In our worked example, about A$1,708 a year on Referwo Standard, A$4,908 on Commission Factory Core and from about A$21,133 on Modash Enterprise. Creator commissions, product and GST are extra.
The bottom line
Influencer software pricing looks complicated because vendors charge for different things: seats, credits, hires or sales. Strip it back and one question decides the right tier: will your software cost grow faster than your creator revenue?
For most Australian ecommerce brands under A$100,000 a month, a flat fee with no commission on sales is the cheaper path. If you want every creator sale tracked without handing over a percentage, start your 14-day free trial.
